Financial spreadbetters expected Britain's FTSE 100 to open 23 to 25 points higher, or up 0.4 percent, Germany's DAX to open 31 to 34 points higher, or up 0.4 percent, and France's CAC 40 to open 11 to 13 points higher, or up 0.3 percent.
